Mechanical Design Engineer (Application)

We're looking for a dedicated and reliable Mechanical Design Engineer (Application) to join a growing team for a market leading Automation company!

• Reporting to: Head of Department
• Location: Penang

the role

• Study and understand customer requirements, liaise with customers for clarification, and conduct site visits as needed.
• Develop automation machine/system concepts, collaborate with control system engineers, and create concept layouts using SolidWorks or DraftSight.
• Estimate material and labor costs, prepare technical proposals, and present proposals to customers.
• Provide technical support to project teams, and ensure smooth project handovers by preparing necessary information.
• Identify and manage project risks, and understand the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.

the experience

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design within the Automation industry.
• Good knowledge in CAD software especially SolidWorks, and AutoCad.
